Throughout June of 2020 illegal firework displays were being set off nightly all across New York City, sparking conspiracy theories to circulate online speculating to the source of supply and the motivations behind the displays.

I spent a day with the community in Canarsie, Brooklyn to attend a display while attempting to understand the supposed mystery behind it all.
